When it comes to your dream kitchen, Choice Cabinet stops the wait
By Patricia Nugent
For anyone dreaming of once again welcoming family and friends into their home for the holidays, the urge to renovate the kitchen or bathroom is just starting to pick up steam. This year looks a little different, however, due to logjams in the supply chain for things like furniture and cabinetry.
Don’t fret. Choice Cabinet has about 36,000 reasons why you needn’t worry. That’s how many pieces of cabinetry it has stocked in its massive warehouse.
I recently sat down with Jessica Ricard, who is not only the VP of Sales at the local cabinet company, but is also the daughter of its founder, Tony Laurinaitis.
No Waiting, No Middleman
“Since we are the manufacturer, and stock everything here readily available, there are no supply chain issues, no waiting and no middleman,” she says. “People like buying direct from us as it’s a significant savings on top-quality cabinets.”
While most local cabinet companies are quoting people six- to eight-week wait times (and sometimes even as long as six months) to get the product in, Choice Cabinet cabinets are delivered assembled right to their doorstep in two to three weeks.
“Homeowners wishing for that kitchen renovation by the holidays might feel that’s not possible working with others. With us it’s absolutely possible,” she says. “We enjoy surprising customers with high-quality craftsmanship at low prices. You won’t find any particleboard with our products. The cabinet boxes are constructed of solid wood. We also offer all the bells and whistles people are looking for, including soft-close drawers and doors.”
How Does the Design Process Work?
The showroom is jam-packed with a robust diversity of styles represented within inspirational kitchen and bathroom vignettes. The large table set aside for mixing and matching samples and making design magic is an integral part of the experience.
“With our complimentary design service, we walk customers through every step of the process,” says Jessica. “We love it when they bring in wish list pictures. After we get rough measurements of the space, we create a computerized rendering that will illustrate how the new kitchen will look.”
They offer two lines. The basic Essentials line comes with a one-year warranty, and the higher-end Select line is for those who want more selections and features. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
“We immerse ourselves in what’s trending,” she says. “Whites and grays are our top sellers, and we’re seeing homeowners mix them up…maybe do an island in gray and the perimeter cabinets in white. Shaker styles also create a clean, uncomplicated profile.”
Last year Choice Cabinet began offering stone countertops, with fine quartz and granite being the most popular with clients.
Where Customer Service is King
“Customer service is an integral part of our business model, and we have grown over the years because of word of mouth from our happy clients,” she says. “To keep customers who want to stay home comfortable, we also offer Zoom and FaceTime appointments. Our designers can mail a door sample of cabinetry, along with some literature, to the clients after they pick out a favorite during the meeting.”
Part of the best service is the ability to offer the best price. That’s why they came up with the Price Match Guarantee.
“We feel confident enough with our price that we will not only match any price, but we will beat any price as long as they are a comparable quality cabinet,” she says.
