If you’re a big or small business and want to send a message about who you are and what you stand for, a strong visual communication is the key. Offering a variety of marketing and graphics solutions, FASTSIGNS of Mentor helps businesses improve their image.

“FASTSIGNS provides logo creation, trade show signage, vehicle graphics, exterior signage, banners, business cards, brochures and much more. Essentially, we cover everything needed to create a clear and impactful presence,” says owner Kim Hoffmann, who has spent the past 25 years in the sign industry helping thousands of customers with their visual communication. Her degree in graphic design helps her communicate with clients to bring their visions to life.

“FASTSIGNS is the largest sign franchise in the world,” she says. “I wanted access to the latest technology to make a real difference for our clients. It means a lot to me to help businesses brand themselves.

Mobile Messaging
For good reason, one of the fastest-growing segments in the signage industry is vehicle graphics and wraps.

Kim knows her numbers, and rattles off a few interesting statistics:

• Fleet vehicle advertising boosts name recognition 15 times greater than other advertising media.

• A single vehicle wrap can generate 30,000-80,000 impressions daily.

• The average delivery truck makes 16 million visual impressions per year.

“The other forms of media, newspaper, radio, and television have become too expensive for what they produce,” she says. “Vehicle graphics and wraps are an affordable way to connect with potential customers, especially for businesses that are not brick and mortar.”

Leveraging wrap products, FASTSIGNS can also wrap tool chests, appliances, garage doors, industrial machinery, heavy equipment and much more in company colors and bold graphics.

Growing Sophistication
“Three-dimensional exterior and interior signage has helped businesses in our area stand out,” says Kim, noting they install many of the signs they create using a bucket truck. “Trade show signage is also a big part of our business. We design signs that set companies apart from the sea of others at a show, making them ultra-lightweight and simple to assemble and disassemble on or around tables.”

For larger manufacturers, they create a variety of compliance signage, such as ADA signs helping ensure worker safety and proper building operations and maintenance.

“We also create signage for sponsorship occasions like golf outings and chamber of commerce events,” she adds.

A Lesson in Collaboration
The sales team at FASTSIGNS is Quest and Patrick along with graphic designer Nick, and production/install specialist Paul.

“My philosophy has always been to build a great team. No one is an expert in everything. The strongest businesses are built on the smartest people—not one person. We set high expectations for working together to achieve that,” Kim says.

The environment here is very collaborative, with Kim and her staff bouncing ideas off each other and coming up with different approaches and solutions to any problem. “One of my favorite parts of the job is seeing a project transpire from beginning to end,” she says. “Sometimes clients don’t have a definitive picture in their mind of what they want, so we work with them to bring it to life.” Judging by all the five-star reviews she receives from grateful clients, the plan is working.
