Whether you need a clean sweep or repair, or you’re ready for a new model, Essa Zaboura’s EZ-Tech Computers will keep you up and running

EZ-Tech Computers founder Essa Zaboura says he’s thankful to his loyal and ever-growing clientele for building the success of his computer repair, service and sales company since 2014.
“Especially during the pandemic, it has felt great to help other local people and businesses keep their computers running faster, safer and cleaner than they thought possible,” he says. “People like that they can trust and rely on my expertise, knowing that I will always go above and beyond what a job calls for, whether it’s desktop or laptop computer repair, virus removal, upgrades, speed and performance improvement, data transfer, networking, or helping customers find and purchase the best-fit new or used computer for their individual needs. They put their faith in me and feel confident knowing that their computer will not leave our premises and I’m the only one working on it. They also appreciate the 24-hour turnaround time.”
Computers have been a lifelong passion of Essa’s. He can work with any computer—no matter the age or brand—and services, sells and trades both PCs and Macs. Models to fit any budget can be found here, from $200 and up.
Diagnostic estimates are always free, and Essa can perform a data transfer from your old computer to a new one you purchase from him, for free. Helping Essa with customer service is his wife, Blanca, who enjoys working with the loyal customers.
How Secure are You?
With security threats to your computer becoming increasingly sophisticated, Essa says protection is becoming a large part of his business.
“People today are more at risk than ever,” he says. “That’s why we configure your computer to better protect you against internet attacks and identity theft. We offer one of the highest levels of anti-virus software solutions, with one-, two- and three-year protection plans on everything we sell or install.”
Red flags to watch out for that might mean you’ve been compromised include pop-up ads, pages that won’t display, a noticeable slowdown in speed, an increase in your spam emails and being sent to a page other than you intended after you type it in the address bar, he says.
Here are a few expert tips he recommends that you can do to protect yourself:
- Change your passwords every three to six months
- Ignore strange phone calls that say the caller will be locking down your system
- Don’t ever give your passwords to anyone
- Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date
The Computer Market is Evolving
When it comes to technology, the only constant is change. Essa reports that currently he is looking forward to the new Windows 11, set to come out soon.
“I think the pandemic has made us all work from our laptops a little more, which has driven the demand,” he says. “They are getting smaller and thinner to be more convenient and transportable, with screen sizes in 12-inch, 14-inch and 17-inch. But as people are finding out, the smaller and thinner the device, the more prone it is to damage when transporting it places, so make sure you use a protective carrier.”
The everyday functionality of computers has also evolved, with more people using them for streaming shows and movies, as well as gaming, he says.
