Homeowners on the west side now have a haven for home renovation in their backyard. Choice Cabinet, a national US supplier of cabinets, opened its new showroom this month within Ridge Park Square in Brooklyn.
Since 2006, the popular family-owned company has made a name for itself on the east side by offering a wide selection of top-quality cabinetry and countertops at a fraction of the price.
“Our customers like knowing that we are the manufacturer, with a well-stocked warehouse just down the road in Bedford,” says Jessica Ricard, who is the showroom supervisor and daughter of founder Tony Laurinaitis. “Not only does that mean low pricing—since we cut out the middleman—but it also ensures quality control and shorter lead times for delivery.”
Currently, she says, you can get cabinets delivered in one to four weeks, compared to contractors who often wait eight to 12 weeks.

The gorgeous showroom features 11 kitchen room vignettes and several bathroom vanities, as well as cabinetry displays. A diversity of styles is represented—from traditional to transitional and contemporary.
With cabinetry, there are 36,000 options to select from within the company’s Essentials line with a one-year warranty, and a higher-end line called Select, with more features, that comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
“You won’t find any particle board or pressed wood with our cabinets,” says Jessica. “They are all solid wood.”
Sales designer Tina Figueroa is part of the team that provides complimentary design services.
“We love it when people bring in wish list pictures,” says Tina. “After we get rough measurements of the space, we create a computerized rendering that will illustrate how the new room will look.”
She says they do lots of cabinetry work outside the kitchen and bathroom, too.
“Homeowners are having us do their home offices, laundry rooms, mudrooms and family rooms with cabinets,” she says.
To complement the cabinets, the showroom also offers a variety of countertop options, with cream and white quartz being the most popular selection.
