The MaxStrength Fitness model is unlike any other. As the only facility in the country to offer three systems under one roof (MedX, Imagine Strength and SuperSlow) to produce low friction and maximum muscular tension, the caliber of equipment is key to providing the most effective and safest exercise experience possible. 28,000.

That’s how many training sessionshave taken place at MaxStrength Fitness studio so far in 2022.

That’s 28,000 chances for hundreds of Clevelanders to live their best life through a protocol of two intense 20-minute workouts per week.

That’s 28,000 transformational mornings, noons and nights that people returned to the studio and faithfully continued a research-based program designed to produce results.

That’s 28,000 times they were able to squeeze in a workout on a lunch hour or before work, without worrying about having to shower afterward since the studio temps are kept chilly.

That’s 28,000 opportunities to build muscle, increase bone density and improve flexibility so they can turn back the clock and age healthfully.

In Their Own Words
Through these monthly stories, I’ve visited the studio and sat down with the clients. Though they hail from different ages, stages and backgrounds, there’s commonality with MaxStrength participants.

Here’s a highlight compilation of their stories:

Seventy-year-old Janet Lowder lost the 20 pandemic pounds she had gained, got back into shape and strengthened a shoulder that she had injured. A nice bonus? She also gained bone density.

“Every time I had my density tested after turning 60, it had dropped,” she says. “But the last time I had it taken, it had actually improved, which was a nice surprise at my age.”

For Matthew Brinin, 55, knee surgery and the first little red flags of middle-age wear and tear drew him to MaxStrength. He wanted to increase muscle mass safely while also boosting flexibility so he could continue his active life participating in several sports.

“I appreciate the InBody composition analysis that provided a metrics to chart my progress,” he says. “After exercising here for three years, in addition to pain-free skiing the past few winters, I’m driving the golf ball a good 30-40 yards farther, which is a nice perk.”

Seventy-something Val Ekey attributes the MaxStrength program with helping her rehab from knee replacement surgery a few years ago.

“My trainer works out every muscle group, especially the core, which is important to maintain balance,” she says. “The trainers push me harder than I’ve ever been pushed. I feel energized when I walk out. It feels wonderful to stay in shape as you age. I recommend this place to all my friends because you won’t find anyplace that offers personalized workouts that work.”

Bob Haas came to MaxStrength with a super situational goal: He needed stamina to fulfill his lifelong dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail—all 2,193 grueling miles of it.

“The trainers gave me lots of individual attention, asking specific questions about my hike, and were able to customize movements that built my core, legs and upper body for the portion of the trail where I had to lug a 35-pound backpack over the 1,000-plus-foot elevation changes,” he says. The end result? He completed the trail and is now planning on hiking the Camino de Santiago “The Way” in Spain next year.

Isn’t it time you joined these success stories and lived life on your own terms, without limitations?
