You can take a ride to victory with Laketran’s new Sports Express service to Cleveland Browns Stadium for all home games in 2024

Root, root, rooting for the home team just got even easier for Lake County residents.
Laketran has announced the launch of its new Sports Express bus service, providing convenient transportation to all 2024 Cleveland Browns home games, including preseason competition.
The service kicks off on Saturday August 10, when the Browns face off against the Green Bay Packers.
This football season, Laketran Special Transportation Service (STS) buses are offering a round trip ticket for just $25 per person, making it easier for fans to catch a ride to Cleveland.
Getting to the Game
Buses will depart Lake County two hours before game time from the Mentor Park-n-Ride, located at 8650 Market Street in Mentor. The downtown Cleveland drop-off point is at the northeast corner of St. Clair Street and E. 9th Street near the Galleria. After the game, buses will leave 45 minutes following the final whistle, providing a hassle-free journey home.
“We’re very excited to bring back the Sports Express service to our residents,” Laketran Board President Brian Falkowski says. “Laketran ran a similar service 20 years ago, and we still get calls each year about it. We hope that both longtime fans and new riders will join us onboard to get to the game.”
A Blast from the Past
Laketran previously operated a similar Sports Express service from 1985 to 2006, catering to fans of both the Cleveland Browns and today’s Cleveland Guardians.
“We decided to bring the service back starting with the Browns because there’s just 10 home games,” Laketran CEO Ben Capelle explains. “If the ticket sales go well, we may look into starting service to the Guardians games in the spring.”
The Sports Express service is limited to 134 tickets per game, so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to secure their seats. Given the high demand and limited availability, tickets are expected to sell quickly.
Enhancing Transportation
“Lake County loves our Cleveland Browns, and the Sports Express from Laketran is the new, best way to see the big games downtown,” Lake County Board of Commissioners President John Plecnik says.
According to Lake County Commissioner John Hamercheck, the return of Sports Express is a testament to Laketran’s dedication to meeting the transportation needs of the community. “I am thrilled to see this service available once again, and I encourage all fans to take advantage of this convenient and affordable way to get to the game,” he says.
“I’m delighted to report that we’re keeping our promise to our community by introducing new amenities that enhance daily commutes,” Lake County Commissioner Richard Regovich says. “Laketran’s Sports Express bus service is a game-changer, providing seamless transportation to every 2024 Cleveland Browns home game, including preseason competition.”
Laketran STS buses are accessible. To serve customers who use a wheelchair and require an ADA lift, Laketran suggests contacting the agency in advance.
