If you see a beautiful woman walking carefree down a street in Rocky River and she isn’t wearing a speck of makeup, chances are she has Dr. Curt Birchall to thank.

Since opening The Fountain Clinic three years ago, he’s dedicated his practice to anti-aging techniques, body contouring and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, working with only the latest breakthrough technologies.

The décor at the med-spa is just as Beverly Hills-inspired as the anti-aging treatments, from the gleaming white marble floors to the crystal chandeliers, neoclassical architectural elements and a main hallway lined with classic black and white portraits of Hollywood icons such as Audrey Hepburn.

Three-Dimensional Modeling of What Could Be
At the initial consultation, Dr. Birchall takes photos of the patient to view on a 65-inch screen, so they can see themselves accurately from every angle.

“From there, my philosophy is to explore the best path to natural-looking improvement, for positive and subtle changes,” he says. “After a procedure, your friends who haven’t seen you for a few months might ask, have you lost weight?”

Every service or treatment offered at the clinic has already been proven effective by the doctor personally. In fact, he considers himself a bit of a “walking billboard” when it comes to how far minimally invasive anti-aging procedures can take you. (Although his driver’s license might say 66, the upbeat doctor looks at least 15 years shy of that.)

“Patients appreciate that I can tell them from experience what each procedure is about, from the downtime to outcomes,” he says. “We only offer the latest, science-based, minimally invasive procedures here, because the field has come so far over the past 10 years or so.”

Beauty is a Journey, Not a Race
Dr. Birchall says that for the ultimate results, procedures should work in harmony, over time, in a step-by-step fashion.

“We go over all the possibilities and together come up with a plan,” he explains. “I am my patients’ co-pilot.”

Whether turning back the years through laser work, peels, facials or lifts, Dr. Birchall likes to begin by analyzing the health and condition of each patient’s skin.

“We are one of a handful of practices to offer Visia skin analysis to measure everything from red spots to photoaging and wrinkles,” he says. “Then after treatments, we’re able to chart the improvement.”

You’ll find the posh The Fountain Clinic Rocky River Med Spa, on Detroit Road in Rocky River.

Facial Rejuvenation and Debut Services
Approved this year by the FDA, Jeuveau injectable is the first new brand of neurotoxin to hit the U.S. in the past decade.

“Though it’s structurally similar to Botox, we are seeing much better and longer-lasting results,” says Dr. Birchall.

“The Thread Lift is one of our newest procedures and the effects are beautiful,” he says. “Injected threads gently pull up sagging skin for a younger, natural-looking effect.”

Meet the Team
Licensed since 1977, Dr. Curt Birchall is board certified in anti-aging and regenerative medicine by the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine.

His background includes a mechanical engineering degree, as well as a medical degree, which gives him an edge in sculptural procedures, establishing the perfect foundation for successful treatment outcomes.

Dr. Birchall has also received additional training in eyelid rejuvenation and facial fillers at the world-renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in Los Angeles, and from top plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills.

For a range of skin care services, Medical Aesthetician Andrea Benites comes to The Fountain Clinic with eight years’ experience. She will analyze skin and perform rejuvenating facials and peels, as well as prescribe a take-home regimen of skin care, featuring medical grade Obagi and Image products.

He says they are also seeing remarkable improvements with their PRP facial, made famous by Kim Kardashian.

Performed by Spa Director Kimberlie Porter, microblading and permanent makeup round out the extensive menu of esthetic services.

Reversing the Effects of Menopause
“It’s just a fact of life, hormones decline as we age,” he says.

“Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy uses perfectly replicated hormones to help replace lost testosterone in men for increased libido and strength, and estrogen in women to reduce hot flashes, weight gain and osteoporosis.”

The décor at the med-spa is just as Beverly Hills-inspired as the anti-aging treatments, from the gleaming white marble floors to the crystal chandeliers, neoclassical architectural elements and a main hallway lined with classic black and white portraits of Hollywood icons.

The therapy can be in the form of pills, creams or injections.

In addition to anti-aging and hormone replacement, Dr. Birchall is now doing PRP injections to rejuvenate joints such as shoulders, hips, knees and wrists.
