When it comes to gifting, nothing is more sophisticated under the tree than a bottle of top shelf spirits people can enjoy in the weeks and months ahead. Holiday brunch parties with DIY cocktail bars have become popular. Bloody Mary bars are a big hit, with an array of garnishes like celery, lemon wedges, cheese, pickles, bacon, shrimp and a sprig of fresh dill. So are Mimosa bars. Just fill a wine bucket with chilled champagne (a dry Brut pairs nicely with the sweet juices) and surround it with colorful carafes of juices (orange, peach, mango, cranberry, pineapple). Then around the carafes, place bowls of berries, pineapple wedges, orange and lime slices, herbs, and in no time, you’ve got a magazine-cover-worthy spread.
