In 1997, 13 years after he’d launched his family-owned windows, siding and roofing business, Gary Martinis was ready to do more. He also had a vision for what E. Aurora Road in Northfield would become. Gary purchased a dreamy western bungalow located on a main drag a block away from the intersections of Old Route 8 and Route 82, and moved his Home Exteriors business in.

Naturally passersby would look at the fixer-upper house Gary and his brothers, David and Mark, decided to call home for their Home Exteriors renovation company and evaluate the expertise living within. So, they updated the exterior and put on an impressive addition in which to house a showroom, meeting space, reception area and offices—all while highlighting the company’s talent for improving anything that exists on the outside of a home.

“It made sense for us to move our business into an existing home and make improvements to it that were in keeping with what we’re known for,” Gary says. “The exterior reflects the history of the home, but still showcases our talents.”

While Gary leads the charge, Home Exteriors is a family affair.

“My brothers and I function as a team,” he smiles. “And our family is here to make sure you and your family are comfortable with the improvements we do. That’s why we’ll take on any job, whether it’s just a few minor repairs or a major job like a roof tear-off and replacement. We listen to your goals and desires, and help to alleviate any concerns. We take the time to walk you through the process.”

Home Exteriors clearly tackles every size job with pride. Browse through the company’s online portfolio and prepare to be impressed. “We’re sticklers for detail,” Gary states.

“Even if we’re putting siding and shutters on a backyard shed, which we’ve done, the result is high-quality. You never have to wonder if our workmanship will stand the test of time. It will, and it does.”

“There was never a pressured sales pitch. All the crew members were friendly, informative, patient and excellent in their specific trade,” say Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stefanov.

“We were well informed on the different kinds of windows and options available, without the pressure-type sales and tricks that a lot of companies use,” say Bob and Tricia Ockuly.

If you’re starting to see a pattern here, you should.

“The quality of our workmanship speaks for itself,” Gary says. “We don’t need to push people into buying, or use sales tricks and gimmicks. Our goal is to be a trusted home improvement company that our customers can depend on any time they need us.”

The showroom inside the first-class converted Home Exteriors home on E. Aurora Road is packed with window, siding, roofing and exterior door options. Take your time and browse through the high-quality CertainTeed and Soft-Lite products.

Quality isn’t limited to Home Exteriors’ workmanship alone. As a five-star CertainTeed contractor, roofing shingles and siding—in vinyl shake, shingles and panels—are among the very best available. Soft-Lite windows and doors complete the better home improvement offerings. The Home Exteriors team can even add cultured stone to accent your siding, and gutters and insulation to round out the service menu.

“This is the time of year when people notice their gutters are failing,” Gary explains.

“Most homes have gutters and downspouts but still sustain damage to the foundation because the gutters clog or they’re pitched improperly, and the runoff evacuates too close to the home. We bring our gutter making machine to your home on our truck, and transform aluminum sheet into perfectly-sized gutters. We can even add gutter guards to prevent them from clogging and overflowing again.”

And whether you look to Home Exteriors for gutters, insulation, siding, windows, doors or a new roof, your no-pressure estimate is always free.
