The upside of short-term insurance

You may never think about how important your healthcare coverage is until you don’t have it. Young adults who have aged off their parents’ plan, people going through divorce, people switching jobs, early retirees, and anyone who missed the ACA enrollment period may find themselves without the benefit of health insurance.

But there’s no need to panic.

HealthMarkets Insurance Agency offers access to short-term insurance options that can fill the gap between losing your current coverage and finding new coverage.

Short-term plans may be a good alternative for some. Premiums can be less expensive than traditional plans, and deductibles lower. In fact, short-term plans can be customized to suit your individual needs.

At the end of your enrollment period, we’ll do a review to determine if continuing in the short-term plan makes the most sense, or if switching to a different plan would serve you better. This can be especially beneficial to people who missed the ACA enrollment period. Short-term coverage can carry you through to the next open enrollment.

For people retiring early, short-term plans are an ideal way to bridge the gap between employer-sponsored insurance and Medicare. To find out if short-term insurance is right for you, I invite you to call me for a free review
